Behavior Management

Our Behavior Management Program is designed to reinforce positive behaviors and modify inappropriate ones through structured guidelines that promote self-discipline and success. At Chancellor Academy, we utilize a Daily Report Card (DRC) system as an integral part of our behavior management program. The DRC helps students develop positive behaviors that are crucial for academic and personal success. Here are some of the key benefits of implementing a Daily Report Card system:

Promotes Positive Behavior

The DRC encourages students to exhibit positive behaviors by providing immediate feedback and reinforcement. This immediate recognition helps students understand the direct link between their actions and positive outcomes, fostering a sense of accountability and self-discipline.

Enhances Student Self-Awareness

The DRC serves as a tool for students to self-monitor their behavior and progress. By tracking their daily behaviors and seeing their points accumulate, students become more aware of their actions and their consequences, promoting self-regulation and personal growth.

Facilitates Goal Setting

Students, along with their teachers and counselors, can set realistic and attainable goals. The DRC provides a structured format for monitoring progress towards these goals, making it easier for students to achieve and celebrate their successes.

Provides Structure and Consistency

For students who thrive on routine, the DRC offers a predictable structure. This consistency helps students understand expectations and reduces anxiety about behavior and performance.

Encourages Self-Reflection

By reviewing their daily performance, students are encouraged to reflect on their behaviors and identify areas for improvement. This self-reflection is a critical component of developing self-regulation skills and personal growth .

Supports Behavior Modification

The DRC is an effective tool for behavior modification, as it reinforces positive behavior through a reward system. Students are motivated to improve their behavior to earn points, which can be tied to various incentives and rewards

Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy

Chancellor Academy is committed to maintaining a harassment-free environment, recognizing the dignity and worth of every student. Harassment and bullying are not tolerated and are addressed promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. More information about our HIB Policy can be found here.
