Kevin McNaught grew up in Jersey City and is a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School. He holds a Bachelor's degree from New Jersey City University (NJCU), a Master's degree from Kean University, and has completed postgraduate studies at Rutgers University.
Mr. McNaught has championed his leadership in the field of special education, focusing primarily on students with learning and behavioral disabilities. He has a unique background, being licensed and experienced in all three major areas of education: teaching (K-12), counseling, and administration. He has served as the Director of Clinical Services and has been the Executive Director of Chancellor Academy since 2008.
Driven by a relentless commitment to helping those who face challenges, Mr. McNaught strives to provide a voice and support for students to become productive young adults. His philosophy is simple yet profound: "Treat every child as if they were your own, and real change can occur."
Lisa Serro McConagly is a lifelong resident of Hudson County. She is a graduate of the College of Saint Elizabeth, Jersey City State College (now NJCU), and attended a Post-Graduate program in Education at Seton Hall University.
Mrs. McConagly has spent over 35 years in the field of teaching, assessment and educational leadership, including private, public and parochial education, focusing on middle school and high school special needs populations.
In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Mrs. McConagly actively volunteers with several community organizations that serve youth and the elderly.
Tyler Marion joined Chancellor Academy in July 2023 as the Principal. With a background in education, Tyler brings experience and a passion for fostering academic and behavioral successes among students.
With over a decade of experience as a Special Educator, Tyler has facilitated learning across all content areas. His previous work includes roles as the Principal at the Felician School for Exceptional Children, Special Education teacher at the Butler School District, Special Education teacher at the Shepard Preparatory School. He holds multiple certifications, including Principal, Supervisor, Business Administrator, Teacher of Social Studies, and Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
Tyler's academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in History from Montclair State University, a master’s degree in Education Leadership from Georgian Court University, and a master's degree in Special Education from William Paterson University. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Centenary University.
Tyler believes in prioritizing relationships before rigor, grace before grades, patience before programs, and love before lessons. By fostering strong connections, showing compassion, and understanding each student's individual needs, he aims to create an environment where learning flourishes and students thrive.
As the Principal of Chancellor Academy, Tyler looks forward to collaborating with the administrative team, faculty, and staff to promote the success of all students enrolled at Chancellor Academy.
