The Arts

At Chancellor Academy, we foster an environment where students can freely express and develop their creative ideas through a diverse array of artistic disciplines. Our arts program is designed to inspire students to experiment with new techniques, explore traditional methods in innovative ways, and cultivate a personal artistic style.

Visual Arts

Students in our visual arts program engage with a variety of methods and materials, encouraged to develop their own techniques and artistic voice. Through participation in art contests, multisensory art activities, and field trips to museums and theater shows, students gain a comprehensive exposure to the visual arts, enhancing their skills and creative expression.

Music Program

Our extensive music program offers students various avenues to explore and enhance their musical talents:

General Music Classes: Aimed at Middle School and 10th grade students, these classes cover the basics of reading music and include units on ukulele, guitars, percussion, and keyboards. Our classes frequently incorporate projects that require students to apply what they have learned in a practical setting. By relating personal experiences and integrated knowledge, students synthesize new musical pieces and make meaningful connections to music.

Music Electives: These classes introduce students to music production and engineering in our state-of-the-art music studio. Utilizing professional-grade software like Logic Pro and Reaper, and equipment such as a MIDI keyboard, Launchpad, and a vocal isolation booth, students can experiment with audio recording and engineering.

Modern Band Program: This innovative program teaches students to play, perform, improvise, and compose music using popular songs they choose, encompassing genres such as rock, pop, Latin, rap, R&B, and country. Students learn to play instruments like the bass guitar, electric/acoustic guitar, piano/keyboard, and vocals, and perform in an ensemble setting with two concerts held annually. This immersive approach is designed to be engaging and enjoyable, appealing to students of all musical backgrounds.
