Chancellor Academy Honors September 11 with a Day of Remembrance
On September 11, the Chancellor Academy community came together for a meaningful morning of remembrance, reflection, and unity. The day began with remarks from Principal Tyler Marion and Director Kevin McNaught, who addressed students and staff about the significance of September 11 and the importance of honoring those whose lives were lost and forever changed.
Following the morning remarks, students and staff gathered outside with their Core Groups. Each group received American flags to place throughout the front grounds of the school, creating a visible tribute of remembrance. Together, students and teachers planted the flags and paused to salute the American flag, sharing a quiet moment of respect as a school community.
With the flags displayed across the school grounds, students and staff then gathered for a whole-school photograph, capturing the community together on this important day. The photograph will also be featured in this year’s yearbook as a lasting record of the tribute.
Remembrance continued throughout the school day with moments of silence, giving students and staff additional opportunities to reflect. Through these shared moments, Chancellor Academy honored the memory of September 11 while reinforcing the values of respect, unity, remembrance, and community.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
